Amori
Amor (love) + Mori (death)
Where the love we hold for our loved ones persists beyond death.
Our mission
Our mission is to increase life’s meaning through reflection on mortality and cultivate a sense of preparedness.
By redefining how we perceive death, grieve, and cope—crystallizing what we want for ourselves as we all prepare to exit this world—we aim to create a world where mortality is universally met with peace and acceptance.
The story behind
Amori was born from a simple yet profound desire: to help people face death not with fear and regret, but with grace and a quiet sense of preparedness.
"In 2023, my mom passed away from cancer. Conversations about death and other meaningful topics were set aside—until it was too late.
When my mom died, I found myself wondering: Was she ready to die? Was she afraid of dying? Did she reflect on death or avoid it? Did she have support while facing her fears about mortality?
Thinking about how she might have gone through this journey all alone was difficult to bear.
Not giving death the space it needs for reflection can catch us off guard when our time finally comes—making death harder to accept, harder to navigate, and more traumatizing for both the dying and their loved ones.
Amori exists because we believe everyone deserves the chance to make peace with mortality.
It’s something we're building for people like my mom and me."
